Journey Down the Streets
Arete partnered with OyinTee and friends to embark on an outreach titled 'Journey Down the Street.' The outreach was held at a community in Iwaya, Lagos. We introduced over 15 children spread out between primary 6 and SSS3 to the basics of computer systems, computational thinking, and Scratch. The children could design birthday cards at the program's end.

Arete partnered with OyinTee and friends to embark on an outreach titled 'Journey Down the Street.' The outreach was held at a slum in Oyingbo, Lagos. We introduced 50 children aged 7-12 to the basics of computer systems, programming, and Scratch. The children could design games using Scratch at the program's end.

Boot camp
July Boot camp
During the pandemic, Arete ran a virtual 5-week boot camp. We taught Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint, and Scratch to 336 children across Nigeria. The students submitted projects ranging from games built using Scratch to computations done with Excel to presentation slides and well-designed essays.

LAHFA
We taught 30 students of G Grace schools, Agric, Ikorodu, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Our lead volunteer gave a summary of Microsoft packages. Afterward, we split the class into groups. Our volunteers taught the students the basics of Microsoft Word, and each group could type letters at the end of the class.
